"Then he isn't safe?" said Lucy. "Safe?" said Mr. Beaver. "Don't you hear what Mrs. Beaver tells you? Who said anything about being safe? 'Course he isn't safe. But he's good."
All Creatures Of Our God And King
Confession
God,
It is in our nature
to have expectations
of our relationships.
We confess
that our relationship with you
is no different.
We expect you:
to heal our loved ones,
to repair our relationships,
to take our side in politics or football,
to work within our timeframes,
to do our will—
because we are afraid
of what might happen
if you do not.
God, annihilate our fear!
Convince us again,
or perhaps for the first time,
that you are good,
and though you don't bow
to the world's expectations,
you are with us
and for us.
Amen.
Assurance of Pardon
The true children of God are those
who let God's Spirit lead them.
The Spirit we received
does not make us slaves again to fear;
it makes us children of God.
With that Spirit we cry out, "Father."
